The Onetouch premiership’s match-day-6 pairings failed to produce any away wins as five home victories were recorded with two drawn games while one match was called off due to clash of jersey colours.
AshantiGold, thus become the first team to beat league leaders, Asante Kotoko, bringing the Porcupine Warriors’ five-game winning run to an end.
The Miners struck gold in the second half of the match-day-6 clash at the Golden City Park - venue for their last home game due to 3-game ban - a with a beautifully worked goal scored by second half substitute, Alex Asamoah in the 54th minute.
Asamoah went through the middle to score with his first touch of the game after been put through with a defence splitting pass, a goal which was the first conceded by Kotoko after five games and 504 minutes of play since the start of the season.

King Faisal were strong for Berekum Arsenals at the Len Clay Stadium with a comfortable 2-0 win over the Gunners. Goals from Ibrahim Basich in the first half and a second half strike from Edmund Owusu-Peprah sealed victory for Faisal.
The Swedru Park also recorded victory as home side, Gamba All Blacks posted a lone goal victory over Tema Youth. Osman Sakora handed the Black Magicians victory with a second half strike.
All two matches in the capital, Accra, failed to produce any goals.
Liberty Professionals and Heart of Lions shared the spoils at the Carl Reindorf Park in their goalless drawn game while Accra Great Olympics and Zaytuna United also drew goalless at the El-Wak Stadium, a result which leaves the Wonder Boys at the bottom of the table with two points from a maximum of 18.

A new set of jersey brought in by the away side, Real Tamale United arrived late after the match referee had called off the game.
Earlier on Saturday, Real Sportive beat Wa All Stars 2-1 at the El-Wak Stadium. The Blues drew first blood in the 15th minute through Raphael Okyere to put Wa All Stars in the lead. However, in the second half, Joel Adjei equalised from a spot kick in the 77th minute before substitute, Richard Yeboah, scored the match winner two minutes later.
