Great Olympics have ended AshantiGold’s home invincibility as they clawed from a goal down to snatch the maximum points from the Miners at the Len Clay stadium.
The Wonder Boys won the match-day-XIV fixture 2-1, thus becoming the first side to beat the Miners at home.
After fourteen minutes of play in the first half, the Miners shot ahead.
Striker, Opoku Agyemang run through the defence of Great Olympics and lobbed the ball beyond the reach of goalkeeper Ibrahim Salifu.
But in the second half, Great Olympics started drawing rings around the Miners as captain Michael Ocansey grabbed a brace to win the day for his side.
Michael Ocansey started the plot in the 72nd minute when he tapped in from a corner kick.
Sixteen minutes later, the Great Olympics captain was on had to complete the deal when he scored to ensure that his side left the Len Clay stadium with the 3-maximum points.
The defeat is the third for the Miners this season though their first at home.
