Kumasi Asante Kotoko are awaiting a final decision from the Ghana Football Association on their ground move proposal by close of day, Wednesday.
The Porcupine Warriors are seeking a move from the Konongo park to the Sunyani Coronation park for their remaining home games in the OneTouch premier league.
Kotoko petitioned the FA for the ground move approval because of low returns from the gates according to officials of the club.
The club which had the capability of grossing well over 100 million cedis on certain match days during their use of the Baba Yara stadium claim to be picking up some paltry figures at the Konongo grounds which sometimes records 15 million cedis.
But a switch to the Coronation park grounds looks unlikely at least for now.
Three clubs – Bofoakwa Tano and King Faisal both premiership sides and B.A United presently use the Sunyani grounds for their league matches.
And adding Asante Kotoko to the three would swell the numbers and also put a strain on the grounds.
