Accra Hearts of Oak have moved second on the standings and at par on points with the leaders though with a game in hand.

The Phobians recorded a hard fought 1-0 win over Bofoakwa Tano at the Tema Park on Saturday that shot them back into contention for a slot in Africa.

Striker, Ablade Morgan’s 27th minute penalty conversion separated both sides as the Phobians kept themselves in pole position of being crowned 2006 league champions.

Hearts’ league title aspirations received a major boost on Friday afternoon after the Appeals Committee gave them back the three points and three goals deducted by the Disciplinary Committee.

This was after the Phobians had failed to show up for their seventh week encounter against Tema Youth on October 21st claiming they were respecting a court injunction restraining the FA from organizing the league.

Accra Hearts of Oak and Tema Youth will replay the match at date to be announced by the Professional League Board.
