AshantiGold has been brought to ground as their nine-game unbeaten run was halted at the Sunyani Coronation park by King Faisal.

King Faisal beat the AshantiGold 2-1 in a dramatic game.

The Miners went ahead first through the league’s top scorer Alex Asamoah in the first half.

In the second half, Micky Ofosu got the equalizer for King Faisal in the 70th minute.

Faisal had to wait until the 89th minute to end the Miners’ impressive form through a spot kick.

AshantiGold defender, Joe Hendricks fouled a player of King Faisal in the penalty box and the spot kick was awarded the home side.

Owusu Agyemang stepped to put the ball beyond George Owu in post for the Miners.
