Tema Youth have asked the football association to declare them winners of the match-day-VII fixture against Accra Hearts of Oak after the Phobians failed to turn up for the game.
The premiership debutants now want to swell their accumulated points by a further three with three goals to their goal tally.
According to Tema Youth officials, the club would follow the laid down procedure in the event of another club failing to turn up for game.
"We are going to request the Ghana Football Association to grant us the three points because our opponents failed to appear for the game," Tema Youth CEO, Emmanuel Kyeremeh said.
No ball was kicked at the Tema Park after Accra Hearts of Oak’s failed to show up for Saturday's local derby with Tema Youth on Saturday.
Ahead of the game, the camp of Hearts of Oak had indicated that the Phobians were going to stay away from the match-day-VII game because of a purported court injunction on the league restraining the FA from going ahead with the matches.
But the Ghana Football Association on Friday issued a statement that it had not received any court injunction on the league and subsequently stated that the seventh week matches should be honoured as such at all the league centres.
A supporter of Accra Hearts of Oak, Emmanuel Otu Quaye is reported to have filed a suit against the Ghana Football Association, seeking an explanation from FA over some provisions in the new draft to register players.
This was after the Phobians attempts at registering Charles Taylor and Ishmael Addo for the league was rejected by FA.
