Berekum Chelsea are especially motivated to get past their next opponents in Group B of the CAF Champions League after getting their campaign off to a good start.

After beating Zamalek 3-2 at home, the former Ghanaian champions travel this weekend to play Lamine N’diaye's TP Mazembe, who lost their opening match.

The weekend's game in Lubumbashi to be refereed by Daniel Bennett could present Chelsea with another opportunity of beating a former champion in the group.

But reeling under the pressure of a last-gasp defeat to Al-Ahly, Mazembe are hoping to end Chelsea's perfect run in their debut competition.

“We deserved at least a draw [after 2-1 defeat to Ahly] and we were just a few seconds away from that,” said TP Mazembe coach N’diaye.

“But we still have strong chances to qualify from this group.”

All three other group members with the exception of the Ghanaian side are former African champions.

And it's a fact N’diaye admits, makes it a tough group but is very confident of their progress.

“This group is very tough and includes some of the biggest teams on the continent. We’re looking forward to victory against Berekum Chelsea to make amends for this defeat.”

Chelsea head into the weekend's second round fixtures as leaders in Group B as they hold a better goal advantage ahead Ahly.
