Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah hands debutants Abdul-Razak Nuhu and Frank Acheampong starting roles against China in Xi'an on Wednesday.

CAF Champions League leading scorer Emmanuel Clottey gets his first start for the Black Stars ahead of Asamoah Gyan as coach Appiah opts for a blend of experience and youth against the Asians at the Shaanxi Province Stadium at 11:35GMT (11:35am Ghana time).

Captain John Mensah and Isaac Vorsah will play in central defence while Harrison Afful will play at the right-back position.

The match against the Chinese will give coach Appiah the opportunity to assess the younger players of the squad ahead of next month's Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Malawi.

Starting line-up: Adam Kwarasey, Harrison Afful, Abdul Razak Nuhu, John Mensah, Isaac Vorsah, Anthony Annan, Christian Atsu, Derek Boateng, Emmanuel Clottey, Kwadwo Asamoah, Frank Acheampong.

Substitutes: Lee Addy, Edwin Gyimah, Asamoah Gyan, Abdul Majeed Waris, Richmond Boakye-Yiadom, Ernest Sowah.
