Black Stars striker Asamoah Gyan helped Rennes move to seventh on the standings as he struck twice on Saturday in the French Ligue 1.
Rennes were 4-1 winners over Toulouse with Gyan scoring both goals in the either half of the game at the Route de Lorient.
The Ghana striker doubled his side's lead after 35 minutes and grabbed his second and Rennes' third on the night a minute into the start of the second half
Gyan, has now scored 12 goals this season in the French Ligue 1 after 22 appearances for Rennes.
