Ghana international Kwadwo Asamoah says he remains focused on the African Nations Cup amid speculation that he has been contacted by Arsenal and Chelsea.

The 21-year-old midfielder who plays for Udinese has been a regular for Ghana in their progress to the African Cup of Nations semi-finals.

Arsenal and Chelsea are reported to have been tracking Asamoah for several months.

Though he is flattered by the rumours, he insists that he has yet to be approached by the Premier League rivals.

Asamoah said: "I am an Udinese player. My ambition is to be in the team, week in, week out.

"To be linked to Arsenal and Chelsea is a good thing but I've never been approached by those teams.

"If they are following me that is good and it means I am doing well, but now my focus is to bring the African Nations Cup to my country, nothing else."
