Former Ghana captain Charles Kwablan Akonnor has returned to Germany to play in the country's Fifth Division League.
The 34-year-old has signed a one year contract with the lower division club SC Langenhagen.
Langenhagen is not far from Wolfsburg, the then Bundesliga club Akonnor played for for seven years.
Apart from playing for the club, Akunnor will work with football agent Uwe Kathmann as he eyes football management career after retirement.
Akonnor returns to Germany after a one-year spell in Cyprus with ALKI Larnaca.
He also played for German clubs Fortuna Cologne and Unterhaching before travelling to Denmark to play for Horsens. |
