Holders Egypt are hoping their form will bring them success in the African Nations Cup final against Cameroon on Sunday at the Ohene Djan Stadium.
Egypt's squad dominated by home-based players are confident of beating Cameroon again after winning in the 1986 final.
The Pharaohs are aiming to win a sixth Nations Cup while four-time champions Cameroon, the last side to retain the trophy in 2002, look for a fifth title success.
Sunday's game would be the second meet between sides at this year's tournament after Egypt beat the Indomitable Lions 4-2 in their opening Group C game.
The Indomitable Lions will be without defender Andre Bikey, who was shown a straight red card for shoving a medical assistant in the last minute of Thursday's 1-0 win over Ghana.
"After the first defeat (against Egypt) we made the changes we needed to get back in the tournament," said Cameroon coach Otto Pfister, who hinted that all the pressure was on Egypt.
"We will go into this final very relaxed. Being at this stage in a continental competition is quite something. If we win, very good, if we lose, well, it's not a drama."
But Egypt coach Hassan Shehata said: "We are champions of Africa now and we hope to still be after the final."
And Shehata is banking on the psychological edge from his side's previous victory over Cameroon leading to another victory.
"Cameroon are a big team, but we've already beaten them in this tournament and that is a good sign for us to produce a good result on Sunday," he said.
"All my players are motivated, they want to keep the title to prove that we are truly the champions of Africa."
A win for Egypt will see Shehata join a rare club of coaches that have won back-to-back titles.
The Egyptians are also aiming to add to their record five-title haul after capturing the continental trophy in 1957, 1959, 1986, 1998 and 2006.
Cameroon are four-times winners, celebrating victory in 1984, 1988, 2000 and 2002.
The match would see Cameroon captain Rigobert Song, play his 33rd Nations Cup match.
