Ghana’s girls Under-17 team will begin preparations for the debut preliminary rounds qualifier of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup campaign.
The technical team of Ghana’s girls Under-17 team have called up twenty-five players into the Black Maidens team for camping ahead of the qualifiers.
Abraham Allotey, coach of the Black Maidens will begin preparations on Sunday, January 27 with the girls at the national camp, the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence at Prampram.
Ghana is vying for one of Africa’s three spots for the first edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup scheduled for New Zealand from October 28 to November 16, 2008.
The players named are: Margaret Otoo, Edem Atovor, Ellen Coleman, Christiana Baiden, Hillla Mantenn Kobblah, Florence Dadson and Mary Essiful (Central Region)
The others are Linda Aboagye, Rosemary Ampeh, Priscilla Saahene, Deborah Afriyie and Perpetual Agyekum (Ashanti Region) Selina Agoabasidu (Upper West Region) Abena Ampomah (Eastern Region) Elizabeth Cudjoe and Linda Eshun (Western Region).
The rest are Benedicta Adjei, Cynthia Adjei, Henrietta Annie, Mercy Myles, Elizabeth Addo and Patience Mantey (Greater Accra Region) Latifa Baba, Syllvia Soku-Mawena and Nimasu Mohammed (Northern Region).
