Scottish side Aberdeen are hoping to gain a work permit for teenage Ghanaian striker Victor Lartey.
The 17-year-old impressed in a practice match last week after initially catching the eye of Pittodrie staff during the Aberdeen International Football Festival (AIFF) in July.
Dons' football director Willie Miller told the Aberdeen Evening Express: "We had two lads from Datus Soccer Academy in for a few days but Victor is the one who impressed the most.
"He did very well in the AIFF and also stuck out when we arranged a friendly between our under-17 and under-15 sides.
"We are now investigating the possibility of getting a work permit for the lad.
"If we get one, Victor will come to Scotland to give us more time to see if he is up to making the grade in this country."
Datus Soccer Academy won the AIFF under-16 tournament after beating Faroe Islands 1-0 in the final.
