The senior women’s team, the Black Queens would on Sunday begin their three-game friendly series in San Francisco.
The Queens play Sacramento Storm, a women’s team at the Kezar stadium in San Francisco.
Ghana’s women’s team are currently preparing for African Women’s Championship scheduled to kick off in Nigeria on October 28.
The Black Queens would be based in the San Francisco Bay Area for a two-week period leading to the tournament in Nigeria.
After Sunday’s test game, Black Queens coaches, Isaac Paha and Daniel Owusu would have the opportunity to access the teams performance for their remaining matches.
The Black Queens would next play Nighthawks All-stars at the Boxer stadium on October 15 then take on Nighthawks All-stars again four days later at the Kezar stadium to round up their three-game test series.
Ghana’s contingent is being hosted by San Francisco Nighthawks, a women’s league team coached by Ghanaian manager, Robert Sackey.
The fourteen-member squad would be joined by some players based in the United States.
Mavis Danso, Elizabeth Baidoo and Patricia Ofori would join the rest of the squad as they prepare for this month’s African Women’s Championship.
Ghana has been grouped alongside Mali, Cameroon and DR Congo.
