Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s life patron Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has appointed a five-member team to administer the affairs of the club.
The team has Sylvester Asare-Owusu as chairman.
Other members are former King Faisal CEO, George Amoako, Jerry Asare, Kwame Baah Nuako and Kwame Boafo.
The appointment of the five comes barely two weeks after the dissolution of the P.V. Obeng led Board of Directors and the subsequent appointment of Opoku Afriyie and Kwame Boafo by the Asantehene to manage the affairs of the Club.
At a ceremony at the King’s Palace, Manhyia in Kumasi, the Asantehene urged the newly appointed team to work together with a purpose of unity to salvage the Club from its present financial crisis.
George Amoako now returns to his roots after four years with King Faisal after he shifted camp to city rivals, King Faisal following the dissolution of the Herbert Mensah management in 2001.
