Accra Hearts of Oak’s hopes of completing the registrations of Ishmael Addo and Charles Taylor for the league has been put on hold.
The Phobians have confirmed receiving a letter from the Football Association blocking the registration process.
The FA have tasked the Phobians to provide further proof of the release of the two players by their clubs in Greece and Tunisia before accepting their registration and participation in the premiership.
Accra Hearts of Oak were keen to have the players play this week for them after having completed registration exercise.
But that hopes have been quashed after the FA’s Legal Committee recommended the suspension of the registration process atleast for now. Addo and Taylor were registered under Article 28 (1d) a clause in the rules, which grants the FA a special discretion to register players whose contracts with their foreign clubs have expired.
Addo is reported to have completed his contract with a Greek club, whilst Taylor was loaned to Hearts by his Tunisian side, Etoile Du Sahel.
The administrative manager of Hearts of Oak, Ashford Tettey-Oku says the Phobians would be mounting a defence to have the two players registered.
If the Phobians fail in the defence bid, then the two players would have wait for the transfer window to reopen January before completing their move to Accra Hearts of Oak.
