National under-20 coach, Francis Oti Akenteng remains upbeat about the Black Satellites’ chances in the return encounter against the Young Stallions of Burkina Faso.
The Young Stallions beat the Black Satellites 1-0 in Ouagadougou last Saturday in the first leg final eliminator of the Africa Youth Championship qualifiers. The second leg comes off in a fortnight at Len Clay stadium.
Ghana’s national under-20 team would be re-assemble on Monday, October 8, to prepare for the second leg tie.
The Black Satellites coach said the break in camp is to enable the players feature for their respective clubs in the premiership which will resume on Wednesday Oti-Akenten said he remains undaunted at the task ahead despite the loss in the first leg. “It is not a hopeless situation; we can still qualify because we are going to correct our mistakes before the second leg.” “The Burkinabe’s are good, but I believe we can beat them if we do our home work well, after all, we scored a goal which was disallowed and this is an indication that they are beatable.” Ghana missed out of the last championship after being eliminated by Ivory Coast.
