The chairman of Ghana’s Local Organizing Committee for the 2008 African Cup of Nations, Dr. Kofi Amoah has also been nominated to serve on the Organizing Committee for African Cup of Nations by Confederation of African Football.
Dr. Kofi Amoah, a former FA executive joins the president of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi on the Organizing Committee for African Cup of Nations.
The sport governing body, earlier this week appointed Ghana’s FA president, kwesi Nyantakyi and other football administrators to serve on its Standing Committee and Judicial Bodies.
Both men and the other football administrators would serve on the various committees for a two-year period spanning 2006 to 2008.
Ghana, host of the 2008 African Cup of Nations thus have two personalities, Kwesi Nyantakyi and Dr. Kofi Amoah serving on the Organizing Committee for African Cup of Nations.
Ghanaian football legend, Abedi Ayew Pele was appointed to serve on CAF’s Football Committee.
Former Ghana Football Association general secretary, Worlanyo K. Agra has been assigned onto CAF’s Committee for Legal Affairs and Player Status.
Alhaji M.N.D. Jawula and Ben Koufie both former FA bosses have maintained their positions on CAF.
Alhaji M.N.D. Jawula holds his membership on the Organising Committee for Inter-Club Competitions while Ben Koufie continues to serve on the Technical and Development Committee.
