Former Black Satellites captain, Michael Helegbe has leaped to the top of the goal charts as joint leader after hitting a hat trick on Wednesday in Liberty Professional’s 3-2 win over King Faisal.
Helegbe is tied at the top with King Faisal's Edmund Owusu Peprah, who also scored two goals in the Wednesday game at the Sunyani Coronation Park.
Edmund Owusu Peprah had scored a goal in a previous game.
AsahantiGold’s veteran attacker, Emmanuel Osei-Kuffour and team-mate, Alex Asamoah together with Heart of Lions' Abraham Annan, Dominic Ediyah of Feyenoord, Andy Pomayie of Olympics and Abeiku Gaise of Tema Youth, have two goals each.
The following scored a goal each in their respective league matches, Michael Akuffo (Tema Youth), David Azumah, Sumaila Ibrahim, Stephen Owusu (Heart of Lions), Jonathan Abeiku, Fuseini Nuhu (Power FC), Sabik Adams and Alfred Arthur (AshantiGold), James Boadu, Fuseinu Adams (Arsenals - OG) and Ohene Brenyah (Arsenals).
The rest are: Samed Oppong (Faisal), George Mensah, John Mensah (Sportive), Clement Coffie, Richard Anderson and Richard Ampong (All Blacks), Agyeman Asamoah, Yaw Antwi, Thua Khamis Mohammed (Liberty), John Ainoo and Fredrick Quayeson (Hasaacas).
