Heart of Lions coach, Hans Van Der Plyum is rueing his teams poor finishing in Wednesday’s 1-2 defeat to Accra Hearts of Oak.
Lions playing home allowed the Phobians to take the lead through Stephen Ofei before Stephen Owusu cancelled the lead through a penalty.
But they went down again as the Phobians got the match winner through their most expensive signing, Eric Gawu who lashed onto a pass from Ruben Senyo to score.
Van Der Plyum says the Phobians expertly took their chances whiles his side failed to convert the many goal scoring opportunities created.
“I am disappointed.
“We didn’t take our chances. Officiating was also not too good.
“Hearts had two chances and they took them, but my boys failed to take the chances we had. We played better on the day.
“But in football, it’s all about taking your chances and by that Hearts deserved to win.
“We have top prepare the boys for the next game,” Van Der Plyum said.
Heart of Lions travel to Berekum where they play Arsenals at the Golden City Park on Sunday.
