The Football Association's disciplinary committee has handed Sekondi Hasaacas a 3 million cedi fine for their involvement in a fracas during their league game with Great Olympics.
A statement by the Professional League Board - PLB, stated as unacceptable the the failure by Hasaacas to allow Olympics warm up on the pitch before the start of the match.
Hasaacas went ahead to win the game 2-1 at the Gyandu Park.
Both teams rightly reported to the team officials at exactly 2.30 pm.
Moments after the inspection, players of the home team together with the officials were allowed entry into the inner perimeter to warm up on the playing field.
But main gate to the field was closed to Olympics for entery, as all attempts to get the keys to open it proved futile.
Great Olympics were thus compelled to warm up outside, denying them their legitimate right to use the field for warm up.
In accordance with Article 23 (5) b (c) of the FA regulations, the behaviour of the home team was found unacceptable and were therefore fined ยข3 million.
Another premier league side Real Sportive have also attracted a 2 million cedis fine for the ungentlemanly behaviour by their player George Mensah.
The player reportedly threw pebbles into the goal post of their opponents Tano Bofoakwa before the start of the game on match-day-II.
Berekum Arsenals and Tema Youth were both fined 500,000 cedis for the expulsion of a player each on match-day-II.
The two players Hailfax Afranie and Yakubu Seidou face a further two-match ban under Article 39 (b) a (IV).
