Ghana’s national under-17 side, the Black Starlets have wrapped up preparations for Sunday’s first leg qualifying game against Guinea with a 2-0 win over division one team, B.A United on Wednesday.
The Black Starlets thus complete their three-game test series finding the back of the net ten times in three friendly games.
The national side first best Chelsea Academy 3-0 and continued with the 5-0 thrashing of Platini FC.
Wednesday’s game against B.A. United was the final for Bashiru Hayford before Sunday’s qualifier against Guinea at the Coronation Park in Sunyani.
Coach Bashiru Hayford has expressed satisfaction with the team’s build up and remained optimistic about their chances on Sunday.
“When it comes to the Starlets, everyone in the nation watches gleefully.
“Our predecessors qualified for the African championship and made it to finals and also for the under-17 world cup, we are also bent on making a major impact.”
Bashiru Hayford says he would be watching the Guineans who are expected in Ghana on Thursday train.
“We would be looking at their stature and would access them. I would be at their training to have a look.”
