FIFA development officer, Sampon Kablan has expressed satisfaction with Ghana’s use of the Goal II funds.
Sampon Kablan on Tuesday inspected the Football Association’s three-storey office complex, which is largely being funded by the world soccer governing body.
Ghana complimented FIFA’s $400,000 Goal II funds with a $100,000 for the construction of the new office building.
The FIFA development officer was hopeful that works, which are ahead of schedule, would be completed on his next return, which would be in November.
“What I have seen so far is not the completed work.
“But what I have seen is satisfactory. The contractor is working hard and I am impressed with the work done so far.
“Next month, it would be ready. The FA would occupy its building which is a satisfaction to all of us.”
Sampon Kablan was hopeful of FIFA’s preparedness to support Ghana with other projects.
“FIFA is ready to add some projects,” Sampon said.
Ghana’s FA president, Kwesi Nyantakyi and other members of the Football Association together with the contractors took Sampon Kablan round the building to inspect the level of work.
Kwesi Nyantakyi says the existing FA office would be converted into other offices and stores for the football association.
“We are moving into the new building because of limitation of space.
“The FA is expanding and we need a much bigger office to help us implement our programmes.
“The existing office would be converted into other offices and stores for equipment keeping,” Ghana’s FA president said.
