AshantiGold coach, David Duncan has given his team a five-day break from training activities as the OneTouch premier league takes another break this weekend to allow for continental games involving Ghanaian clubs.

Players of the club and the technical team would reconvene on Saturday as they Miners prepare for their September 20 midweek game at home against Bofoakwa Tano in Match-Day-III of the premier league.
David Duncan, leading the Miners in his first season would be hoping to seal an African Club competition ticket and more importantly the league title.
AshantiGold’s last silverware was in the 1996 season when they completed their hat trick of league titles winning three successive league cups from 1994.
Ever since the Miners have struggled in their quest to win the title which reverted to the trophy cabinets of the two traditional giants, Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
