The Ghana Football Association president, Kwesi Nyantakyi says 2% (per cent) of gate proceeds from premier matches will be given to juvenile associations.
The proceeds from the gates would be used to ensure the development of football at the districts and grassroots level.
Kwesi Nyantakyi mooted the idea that a decentralised system be put in place for everyone to contribute to the running of the game to attain effective management of football in the country.
The FA president was addressing the first-ever Greater Accra Regional Football Association (RFA) congress under the new statutes of the FA.
Kwesi Nyantakyi indicated that it was the FA’s desire to ensure that each RFA’s is well resourced with logistics and a core staff that will be borne by the FA.
He proposed an effective mobilization and development of football talents in the country as part of the FA’s business plan, which includes a sports clinic in each region to address issues on football.
"Policies relating to women football, coaching, youth football, and marketing are the cornerstone of our administration, the FA boss said.
In that respect the FA boss disclosed that an amount of 6 million dollars has been earmarked in the FA’s business plan to change the face of football in the country.
He pledged his full support to the RFA’s to develop football in the country.
Jordan Anagblah, executive committee member and chairman of Division 2 and 3 of the Greater Accra FA stated that the RFA has plans to upgrade women soccer to regional status which will run alongside the Div. league in the districts.
He explained that the RFA secretariat has been upgraded and called for logistics to help run the secretariat to a professional status.
Jordan Anagblah however cautioned delegates to guard against mediocrity and rather uphold the rules of the FA.
