Italian Serie A club Udinese have said the transfer of Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari to Portsmouth is not certain.
The 21-year-old, who was at the World Cup finals, had said on Tuesday that his move to the English Premiership side was "99% sure"
But Udinese general manager Roberto Zanzi said no such transfer was imminent.
"If this is what he thinks, then I would say the 1% is worth a lot more than the 99%," Zanzi said on the Italian club's website.
"I can confirm that there was interest from Portsmouth in July, but nothing has been taken forward to this day.
"I can repeat, there are no negotiations between us and the English club."
