Ghana defender, Shilla Illiasu has landed a deal with Russian side, Saturn FC.

The Black Stars player had been on trials with English sides, Arsenals and Blackburn Rovers but finally settled in at Saturn.

The 23-year-old featured in all four of the Black Stars' games at the finals of the World Cup in Germany - starting the last three of them.

The central defender shone in Germany and his performances caught the attention of Arsene Wenger and his scouts.

The former Asante Kotoko player has been handed the number 19 jersey by Saturn.

Illiasu, who was presented to the club's fans on Thursday August 31 now joins another Ghana international, Baffour Gyan.

Gyan was taken on loan by Saturn this season from Dinamo Moscow.
