Ghana defender, John Paintsil is happy with his transfer to West Ham, after moving to clear up a wrangle over his name.
The defender, signed from Hapoel Tel Aviv over the summer after impressing at the World Cup, is known to all in his homeland as Paintsil.
However, upon his arrival at Upton Park the club handed him the name Pantsil.
The player, though, says this is not true. "My name is John Paintsil, not Pantsil," he said.
"I have no idea (why this happened)."
Paintsil is determined not to let the wrangle over his name affect his performances in The Premiership.
"I am happy at West Ham," added the full back. "The people are nice and they respect each other.
"They give me much more respect and I am happy to be here.
"I am happy with my decision to come here."
