Nottingham Forest have made a bid for Bristol Rovers striker Junior Agogo, reports BBC Radio Nottingham.
Rovers first-team coach Paul Trollope confirmed Forest's interest in the Ghana international, 27, after Rovers' 1-0 win over Grimsby on Saturday.
"We've had the bid and will deal with it on its merits," Rovers director of football Lennie Lawrence told BBC Radio Bristol on Monday.
"If it goes through, we'll be looking at replacements."
Lawrence added: "There's not going to be a long list, and personally I'd rather do nothing rather than do the wrong thing."
Rovers first-team coach Paul Trollope said: "We will do the right thing for the club and if he does go we will try to replace him with quality."
