Ghana midfielder Laryea Kingston together with defender Habib Mohammed are the only players who left Accra Saturday evening with the technical team for London ahead of Tuesday’s international friendly against Togo.
Laryea is making a return to the national side after missing the World Cup through suspension.
The Locomotiv Moscow player was excluded from the squad in Germany after receiving a four-match suspension during the last African Cup of Nations.
Two other local players, Shilla Illiasu and Dan Quaye both on trials in England would also join the team on Sunday.
The bulk of the squad would be joining the team from their various European bases on Sunday as the Black Stars under stand-in coach Silas Tetteh begin preparations for Ghana’s first match after the World Cup.
The Black Stars play Togo’s Hawks on August 15 in Brentford.
Both nations represented Africa at the World Cup in Germany but Ghana was the only nation from the continent that managed to secure a place in the second round.
A good result, probably victory for the Black Stars would improve Ghana's position on the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking table to be released on Wednesday, a day after the game against Togo.
The Black Stars' recent performances has contributed immensely to Ghana's ascendancy on the ranking table.
The Black Stars shot an impressive 23 places up in the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking to occupy 25th position after an admirable performances at the recent 2006 FIFA World Cup.
Black Stars stand-in coach, Silas Tetteh is bent on improving Ghana's performance and has kept faith with many of the World Cup squad.
However, injuries have ruled out defender John Mensah and striker Asamoah Gyan.
The Germany-based duo of Hans Adu Sarpei and Otto Addo, as well as Emmanuel Pappoe and goalkeeper George Owo were not called up for the game.
