Kumasi Asante Kotoko will open the defence of their OneTouch premier league title with an away due against Great Olympics on August 20th.

Olympics, one of two clubs making a return to the premiership are using the Azumah Nelson Sports Complex because of ongoing renovation work at the Accra and El-Wak Stadiums.

Also making a return to the elite division is Gamba All Blacks while Tema Youth make their premiership debut this season.

All Blacks would start their 2006/2007 premier league account at home against Liberty Professionals at the Swedru Park while Tema Youth will make their debut against Sekondi Hasaacas on August 19th 2006.

Accra Hearts of Oak who like Olympics will use the Azumah Nelson Sports Complex travel to Berekum on the opening day to play Arsenals.

Heart of Lions would be seeking to get off the mark with a big roar at the Kpando stadium when they welcome Power FC.

King Faisal, playing at their adopted Sunyani Coronation park will battle Sunyani-based Bofoakwa Tano while Real Sportive play as host of Real Tamale United at the Tema Park.

At the Obuasi Len Clay stadium, AshantiGold welcome Feyenoord.

After match-day-I, the league would go on a two-week break to make way for continental club assignments.

Real Tamale United serving a three-match home ban would return to their home grounds- Kaladan Park in Tamale for their match-day-XI game against Asante Kotoko on November 5.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko would square off with archrivals, Accra Hearts of Oak at their adopted Konongo Park home grounds to end 120 matches involving sixteen teams in the first round on January 7, 2007.

Hearts of Oak and Great Olympics will play their home games at the Azumah Nelson Sports Complex. Asante Kotoko will play their home games at the Konongo Park while and King Faisal have opted to use the Sunyani Coronation Park as their home base.


The opening games of the new season is likely to be highly competitive because the four teams after nine round of matches will qualify to represent Ghana in next year's African Champions League and Confederations Cup.
