Ghana captain, Stephen Appiah has been ruled out of Fenerbahçe's UEFA Champions League second qualifying round tie Tuesday night against B36 Tórshavn.

Appiah and two other players are out of the game through injury.

The Black Stars captain scored the first goal in the first leg that saw the Turkish side beat Faroe Islands side, Tórshavn 4-0.

Despite the absence of the Ghana captain and other players,
Fenerbahçe SK coach Zico is hoping for an improved performance from his side.

"We had a very positive result in the first leg and I'm hoping for a similar victory, but maybe with even better football," he said.

"I'm still telling the players my philosophy and I'm trying to set the system according to their abilities."
