Yeovil Town are negotiating a new contract with defender Kevin Amankwaah.

The Glovers manager Russell Slade is determined to tie up a deal quickly as they try to ward off interest from fellow League One side Swansea City.

Amankwaah has one year left on his Huish Park deal and would be free to leave for nothing next summer.

The 24-year-old started his career at Bristol City as a trainee and had loan spells with Torquay and Cheltenham before moving to Yeovil.
