Delegates of the Ghana Football Association’s Congress would converge in Accra to deliberate on the August 6 date set for the commencement of the new football season.
The Football Association would hold its first ordinary congress under the new administrative structure in Accra beginning tomorrow (Wednesday).
The two-day Congress to be attended by 123 delegates would be chaired by the President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi.
At the last extraordinary congress, delegates agreed to a new season’s calendar, which starts mid-year.
The Professional League Board of the FA has set August 6 as the start date for the premier league.
Other matters to be discussed include the league calendar for Division One and a proposed Middle League format.
The two-day ordinary congress meet is in accordance with the Statutes of the FA, which stipulates that Congress shall meet in ordinary session once every football season normally before the commencement of the season.
FA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi would give an address to Congress.
