Ghana international, Derek Boateng has made a career move from Swedish club AIK Solna to Israeli club, Betar Jerusalem.
The Black Stars midfielder has completed a three-year deal with the Betar Jerusalem for the coming season.
Betar manager Vladimir Shklar announced the signing after brief negotiations that took place over the weekend.
Boateng, who was reported to have had an offer from French Ligue 1 side, Marseille is the only Ghanaian signing at Betar.
Betar Jerusalem are reported to have splashed 3 million euro for the Ghana international's signature.
Derek Boateng was a part of Ghana's World Cup squad in Germany earlier this summer, where he was involved in three games as a substitute.
"I'm happy to be in the Promised Land. It was a tough decision, but I finally decided to play in Israel," Boateng told reporters after the official signing.
"I think Betar is a good club with high aspirations and I hope we can achieve this goal together."
