The Ghana Football Association has confirmed talks with the Nigeria Football Association over an international friendly between the two nations.
Ghana, one of Africa's five representatives and who managed a second round berth at this years World Cup would play Nigeria in London on August 15.
The match would be played on a FIFA international friendly match day.
The two West African rivals would rekindle the soccer rivalry that matches involving both sides churn out.
Fred Pappoe, vice president of the Ghana Football Association says the game is part of the FA's team building for the African Cup of Nations to be hosted by Ghana in 2008.
"We are looking at preparing a formidable team for the next African Cup of Nations.
"The game against Nigeria would be one of the matches lined up for the Black Stars ahead of the Cup Nations.
"The Black Stars in the course of the year would be engaged in other games," Fred Pappoe told ghanafa.org.
Nigeria's Super Eagles beat the Black Stars in their last meet during the African Cup of Nations hosted by Egypt early this year.
