With hours to go for the big kick off, the World Cup euphoria has engulfed the Black Stars camp even before they play Italy on Monday.
The countdown is finally over and Munich is set to host the world’s best thirty-two nations as at football’s World Cup in a few hours.
For the next four weeks, football fans across the world would be buckling up for 64 scintillating matches at the Mundial.
Host nation Germany will take on Costa Rica in the opening match after what is anticipated to be a resplendent opening ceremony.
This is Ghana’s first appearance on the world stage.
And even though the Black Stars play their opening game against Italy on Monday, Ghana Football Association President, Kwasi Nyantakyi, urges the entire nation to be excited as the competition commences and back the Black Stars to make a lasting impression.
"The World Cup is a dream come true. Each and every Ghanaian has to cherish the hope that one day Ghana would make it to the World Cup and this is a God sent opportunity for all of us.
"We must thank God for being living witnesses to this historic occasion. We can only rejoice and also hope that we do very well.
"The best tribute we can pay ourselves and to posterity is to do well in the World Cup so that Ghana would always be remembered with an impressive outing at its first ever World Cup."
