Kumasi Asante Kotoko have set up yet another cup final showdown with rivals Accra Hearts of Oak after a 3-1 penalty win over Sekondi Hasaacas at the Gyandu park today.
Kotoko trailed Hasaacas for most of the second half after conceding an early penalty at the start of the second half.
But midfielder Kobina Dodzie saved Kotoko’s blushes by scoring the equalizer to send the game into penalty shootouts.
Hasmal missed all four penalties during the shootout to hand the win to the visitors who converted two out of the three penalties they took.
The final of the Onetouch Special knockout competition will be played on Sunday.
In a related development, a fan died instantly after jumping off a tree close to the Gyandu Park where he was perched watching the game.
