Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited, official beverage sponsor of the Black Stars has presented a cheque for 1 billion cedis to the national team in fulfillment of its pledge made earlier this year.

In August last year, Guinness donated $120,000 to the Black Stars to secure the title of official Beverage sponsor of the Black Stars.

The Black Stars last received an additional cash boost from new sponsor, Ecobank Group.

The West African bank presented a cheque of $150,000 to become the Official Bank Sponsor of the senior national team.

Meanwhile, Goldfields Ghana Limited, headline sponsors of the senior national team, the Black Stars will unveil a special package for the team ahead of the World Cup.

Goldfields who have a three-year sponsorship deal with the Ghana Football Association worth $3 million intend to announce the package this week.
