Bristol Rovers coach Paul Trollope has told Ghana international Junior Agogo not to be discouraged despite the striker missing out on the Black Stars’ World Cup squad. Agogo's hopes of being among the 23 were lifted when he made his Ghana debut in a friendly on Tuesday against French side, Nice.
The Black Stars were beaten 3-0 in the game with Junior Agogo coming on as a substitute.
But Trollope says the entire Bristol Rovers team are with the Ghana international and believes that game served a good experience for Junior Agogo.
Trollope said: "I gather he gave a good account of himself in the game but obviously he is not in the final squad.
"I'm sure he'll be disappointed, as we are for him, but it will have been a great experience for him."
