Ghana’s World Cup build up hit a snag as the Black Stars slumped to a 3-0 defeat against French club, Nice, at the Stade du Ray in France.
Nice shot ahead in the 10th minute through Marama Vahirua, who fired a shot past goalkeeper Richard Kingston in post for the Black Stars to end the first half 1-0.
Back from recess, Ghana made a host of substitutions with reserve goalkeeper, George Owu coming on for Kingston.
But the French side continued their dominance, increasing the goal tally to three before regulation time.
Roberto Bisconti scored the second goal for Nice in the 67 minute before Sebastien Roudet got the third in the 75 minute.
The match is the last of two friendly ties with European club sides lined up for the team to enable Ratomir Dujkovic to assess his fringe players before announcing his final squad for the world cup.
Ghana will name her final 23-man squad for the world cup on Friday ahead of FIFA’s May 15 deadline for all 32 participating countries to submit their squad list.
Ghana : Richard Kingston/George Owo, Dan Quaye, Habib Mohammed/Dan Edusei, Eric Addo, Francis Dickoh, Derek Boateng, Derek Asamoah, Anthony Obodai/Haminu Dramani, Junior Agogo/Alex Techie Mensah, Razak Pimpong/Baffour Gyan, Kwabena Agouda/Nana Kwesi Asare
