Black Stars captain, Stephen Appiah, was at his vintage best over the weekend, grabbing a brace for Fenerbahce in their 4-2 win over Erciyesspor in the Turkish Super league.

However, fans of the club could not have the chance to join the team celebrate Appiah’s two goals since the game was played behind closed doors.

Fenerbahce still top the charts but only with a superior goal difference than closest contenders Galatasaray who also won over the weekend.

Both teams have 80 points with one game remaining in the league.

Stephen Appiah who has been in excellent form for Fenerbahce this season is gunning for the Sports Writers Association of Ghana’s most prestigious award alongside Black Stars teammate, Michael Essien.
