The Ghana Football Association would on Thursday unveil its four-year business plan after a fruitful stakeholders meeting last Friday.
The new business plan is a hybrid of Ben Koufie’s five-year development which dwells much on the technical aspect of the game and includes broader areas like business administration, sports medicine, youth development and women’s football.
According to the president of the football association, Kwesi Nyantakyi, the business plan would seek to raise substantial capital for the implementation of all projects.
The plan is geared at running administration of the game in the country a model in Africa.
FA president, Kwesi Nyantakyi says there is still a long way to go.
"Our sponsorship income would have to be increased.
“Officials would have to implore a greater level of professionalism in the running of the game while we take a greater look at TV revenues, this are all capable of significant growth."
While trying to pump up income, Nyantakyi insists the FA has also set itself "some aggressive targets" for the coming days.
The FA would be looking at several international companies to strike sponsorship deals with for the coming season.
“It’s a two-way thing. Our brand (Ghana Football) would have to attract sponsors who would also reap the benefits of their association with us.
“Our success on the field is key to our corporate drive.”
But the FA president sees sports medicine and the development of the womens game a huge task that all would have to contribute to its development.
