Tunisian club Etoile du Sahel have dismissed their Bosnian coach Mehmed Bazdarevic ahead of their CAF Champions League third round eliminator against Accra Hearts of Oak.
The Sousse club, runners-up in the last two African Champions League finals, failed to win the Tunisian championship, which was taken by arch-rivals Esperance.
Bazdarevic, who won 58 caps for Yugoslavia and played in France and Switzerland, signed a one-year contract in July last year.
"The club decided to sack Bazdarevic for many reasons, including the technical strategy he used since his arrival," the club said in a statement.
Etoile remain in the race for a spot in the group stages of the Champions League.
Hearts of Oak host Etoile in the first leg of the third round eliminator at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium on April 22.
