Former national player and coach, Paul Lartey has passed away after a short illness.

He was 62 years old.

A family spokesman who announced the death of Paul Lartey said the former national coach died in the early hours of Tuesday at the Ridge Hospital in Accra where he had been on admission an illness

Paul Lartey, a former national football star coached the national under-17 team, the Black Starlets during his coaching days.

He also managed premiership side handled Accra Great Olympics, Sekondi Hasaacas and Ebusua Dwarfs.
