Black Stars striker, Isaac Boakye returned to competitive action for German side, Arminia Bielefeld yesterday after almost a month of inactivity due to a knee injury.

The Arminia Bielefeld striker starred in their 1-0 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt in their German Cup semi final.

Boakye showed good form though his side failed again to make it to the final of the German Cup.

Bielefeld had one good chance after the break when Isaac Boakye muscled his way into space on the right of the area in the 69th minute only to see the keeper save with his feet.

Arminia Bielefeld go out the competition at the semi-final stage for the second season in a row.

The recovery of Isaac Boakye is a major boost to Black Stars coach Ratomir Dujkovic as he continues to monitor players ahead of the World Cup finals.
