Former Asante Kotoko and King Faisal chairman, Herbert Mensah’s planned return to local football has been shrouded in so much uncertainty following recent reports that the business magnate has now switched interest to Real Sportive.

Herbert Mensah had initially signed a memorandum of understanding with the board of directors of Real Tamale United to own majority shares in the club, subject to approval by all members of the board.

But Mr Mensah was reported to have begun preliminary discussions with Sportive, having grown impatient with the RTU board’s delay in ratifying his appointment.

Alhaji Jawula, chairman of the RTU board, told local radio that negotiations with Mr Mensah are ongoing and would be concluded soon.
