The Black Stars’ proposed friendly against Hannover 96 has been called off.
The match originally scheduled for April 26 was called by the German club who cited organizational problems as a reason for the cancellation.
Ghana wanted to take advantage of a 12-day break in the German Bundesliga to play the game with Hannover and assess some players before FIFA’s May 15 deadline for teams to submit their final squads for the World Cup.
Though the April 26 date is not a FIFA approved day for international friendlies , the FA says it is keen to rearrange a match with another club side preferably on the same day.
Ghana plays her first game against Italy in Hanover on June 12 and the game would have afforded the Stars a feel of the 35,000 capacity stadium before the Italian job.
