The Ghana League Clubs Association, GHALCA, has called off the midweek Top Four fixtures.
The decision is a quick response to calls by Kumasi Asante Kotoko coach, Emmanuel Kwasi Afranie, for the postponement of his team’s midweek game against Berekum Arsenals because of the absence of some influential players of his team.
However, with four of his regular players away in Stuttgart on national duty with the Black Stars, Afranie reckons his side will be truly handicapped in their quest to improve their standing in the Top Four.
Charles Taylor, Aziz Ansah, Shila Illiasu and Yusif Chibsah would be playing Bundesliga side, VFB Stuttgart on Wednesday; same day the Porcupine Warriors were scheduled to face Berekum Arsenals in the Top Four in Sunyani.
Kotoko are third on the Top Four chart behind Hearts and King Faisal but have vowed to leapfrog them to the title.
